Deluna Retreats

Frequently Asked Retreat Questions

Traveling to and from the nearest airport is the guest's responsibility. However, we will arrange transportation to and from the airport, which is included in the retreat cost. If you are concerned about the dates and times of flights, we can consult with you to help you select the best flight.

Deluna Retreats and our hosting locations maintain appropriate insurance coverage. However, we strongly recommend that participants purchase individual travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations, weather-related issues, health emergencies, and other potential incidents that may arise during travel. By participating in our retreats, you agree to our retreat policies, which include a waiver of liability that releases Deluna Retreats from any insurance claims or liability for incidents that occur during the retreat. While we serve as your guides and hosts, we are not responsible for covering costs related to any accidents or emergencies.

Not at all! Our beach combing & sea glass retreats, Yoga retreats, and other international adventures always provide optional activities. Yoga, meditation, excursions, hiking, and workshops are all available to you and included in the cost of the retreat but are not mandatory! You may only participate in the activities that suit you. We also offer some additional special and private activities (such as private Reiki sessions) if desired.

Custom dietary requests are commonplace on our retreats, and we handle them with ease. We have a section on our registration form asking you to share these details with us, and then we make arrangements privately to accommodate your needs. We haven’t hosted a beach combing, sea glassing retreat, or Yoga retreat where we haven’t had any allergies or preferences, and it is never an issue.

Our retreat guests have historically been either small pairs, like two friends or a mother and daughter, or individual guests, and they tend to leave our retreats having met great new friends. There is no pressure to socialize, but those who do want to make friends have plenty of opportunities. All of our retreat guests are respectful and kind, and everyone wants to have a relaxing time.

We charge a non-refundable deposit to reserve a spot on one of our yoga, sea glassing, or other retreats. The remaining balance is due a few weeks before the event.

We encourage all guests to personalize their retreat experience. Our carefully planned schedule offers a variety of activities, but we understand that your needs come first. If you need rest, feel free to take a nap. If yoga isn't your thing or you'd prefer to sleep in, you're welcome to skip it. However, if you're feeling unsure or physically unable to participate, we can discuss this privately to help you feel more confident or provide alternative poses.

Our classes are designed for all levels, ensuring they're beginner-friendly. If needed, we're happy to offer private assistance on specific poses. We strive to make everyone feel comfortable in our yoga retreat classes.

Additionally, Virginia is a Yoga4Cancer Certified Instructor, trained to accommodate those with limited range of motion, injuries, or medical conditions. We're confident you'll enjoy our yoga sessions, but as always, participation is entirely optional.

We are committed to making each guest feel comfortable and safe. The retreat registration form has a section for you to share any injuries or concerns.

Amenities and what guests should bring may vary depending on the retreat locations. Once registration is completed, a suggested list of items to bring will be provided, and a checklist will be shared as the retreat date approaches.

Each retreat is unique and has a rough itinerary mentioned on the retreat detail pages. One excursion, a yoga class, shared meals, and free time are offered daily. On retreats longer than three days, there will be 1 or 2 days without excursions. If you are a restless or adventurous soul, you can use excursion suggestions and transportation if you want to check something out on your own. We believe downtime is essential and will always be cognizant of our guest's needs to rest or have alone time.

Amenities are specific to individual retreats but the majority of our hosted accommodations include:

  • Bedrooms are based on reservation selection, private rooms with en-suites available
  • Combined living/dining area
  • Full kitchen area
  • Outdoor seating
  • Washer and Dryer
  • Complimentary Wifi
  • Private Pool or Hot Tub
  • Beach access (for beach combing & seaglassing retreats)

No, you do not have to be photographed. We will always ask you for permission first, and if we want to share photos on our retreat social media pages, we will request your consent.

Alcohol consumption is at the discretion of individual retreat guests but should be consumed in moderation. Drug use is strictly prohibited, and guests risk expulsion from the retreat without refunds if this policy is violated.
